Angelina
Pwerle
Born in
Utopia, Angelina Pwerle produced batik in the 1980's, and commenced
painting, in acrylic on canvas, during CAAMA's 1988 Summer Project.
She also sculpted animals and figures of people. Her
art is characterised by the concentrated use of dots, which give
her works a three dimensional aspect... She depicts, in her
paintings, the awelye women's ceremonies.
