Born west of Kintore in
the early 1930 at a rockhole known as Tuwiru, Benny grew up
travelling around the Kintore area living in the old way. Benny's
Dreaming starts at Pukurru, north-east of Kintorre on the edge of
Anmatyerre country, and travels south-west through Kintore to the
site of Pinpirnga, a rockhole due west of Alice Springs for which
he is the key 'kurdu' (keeper/owner). He has an outstation near
this site. It is associated with the bandicoot, which were
plentiful in these areas but now are almost extinct. Benny often
paints Wintaru (Bandicoot) Dreamings for this area. He is married
with four sons and two daughters and lives in
Kintore.
